Friday Flash March 2, 2018

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. - Albert Einstein

Attached please find your weekly Friday Flash.
We hope to see many of you at Friday afternoon's Firearms Awareness Seminar, presented by Rick LeClair and Sizer senior Howard Chaput.  Howard has worked on this as part of his senior project.  We'll be seeing more about senior projects in the next few weeks.
We're looking forward to next week's parent prom!  The PTSO is hosting it, assisted by members of the junior and senior classes, to benefit the prom.  This is their major fundraiser for the prom, and are looking for lots of participation!  We're calling it "parent prom", and it does have an 80s theme, but you don't have to dress in your finest to attend; it's planned as a fun night out for the adults in our community.  DJ Dawson is picking the tunes, providing us with some trivia, and who knows what else...Order your tickets this week!
Please remember that this coming Wednesday, March 9, is a half-day for students.  There is no after school supervision.  Please make sure your student has transportation to leave school at dismissal at noon.
Have a great weekend, and we'll see you back here next week.

“Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.”                   ― Mother Teresa

We had a great week finishing up our mid-year meetings and goal-setting with our students and families. Thank you to everyone who made this a priority for their student.
We're anxiously awaiting for the cast list for Sizer's first musical in many years. Word should be coming soon!
Next week is February vacation.  We hope everyone has a restful/exciting/productive, but most importantly safe, time during break.  We'll see you back here on Monday, February 26.

Thursday Thunder February 8, 2018

Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.                                                                                                                                                   -Andy Rooney

We hope many in our community will make the effort to come out and see SiTA's production of Men On Boats tonight and tomorrow night.  It's free, and they'd love to hear feedback on the production, which they will be taking to the state drama festival in a few weeks.  See the Flash for details.
Have a great weekend!

Thursday Thunder February 1, 2018

I didn't come this far to only come this far.

Second semester is underway!
Attached is your Thursday Thunder (Friday Flash for this week).
Mid-year meetings are next week on Wednesday and Friday.  There are no classes on those days, students are only required to be here for their meeting.  There will be classes on Thursday.
The PTSO would like some students volunteers to help with the clothing swap and free book tables on the meeting days.  See Mrs. Calcaterra for more info.
Please remember that there is no school for Sizer students tomorrow.  Have a safe weekend!
