It was a short but productive week-let's do it again next week!

We had a wonderful Senior Spotlight Community Meeting this afternoon, honoring our seniors and their accomplishments, as they finished their last day of classes at Sizer.  They will graduate this Thursday night here at Sizer.  Any interested in attending should contact the office for ticket availability.

We wish you an excellent weekend, and will see you back here on Monday.

US News and World Report ranks Sizer a Bronze school!

According to The U.S. News and World Report rankings of high schools Sizer School (listed under North Central Charter Essential School) was awarded a Bronze medal. How exciting!! It was a fun moment because we don’t do what we do for ranking or for prestige, we do what we do because we believe in our students, in who they are, what they are capable of, and who they can become. Being recognized for our achievement is a lovely moment.

The U.S. News rankings are based on data from more than 21,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. The top 31% of all schools were awarded gold, silver or bronze medals based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college.

Regardless of what came before or of what has yet to come, what matters most right now is how I choose to respond to the challenge before me.

As long as the ties that bind us together are stronger than those that would tear us apart, all will be well.
