Congratulations to our becoming-independent seniors for completing the first task of Senior Project: submitting a formal proposal for their project. We’ll check in on their progress during the school year, and learn about this capstone project.

Several events are coming up this week to pay attention to:
• Saturday Oct. 4 (tomorrow!) math SAT practice for seniors only 9-12 at school.
• Tuesday October 7 Special Education Basic Rights Workshop 6 pm at school
• Wednesday October 8 Senior Financial Aid Night-6 pm recommended for seniors and families, juniors welcome also
• Friday October 10 First, free Open Mic night of the year from 6-about 8

It’s another sunny Friday afternoon as we finish up a week of learning here at Sizer.

Tonight is Div. I Fun Night; we’re expecting over 40 students and many parents to come and have an excellent evening playing ping pong, foozball, twister, karaoke, Kinect, and more, while enjoying some freshly made pancakes and fresh fruit salad. Pictures to come in next week’s Flash!

We had a great first Community Meeting of the year today, be sure to ask your student about the experience!

Also, we’d love to see many members of our Sizer Community at Saima Park in Fitchburg tomorrow to help get it ready for our sports teams. Check the Flash for more details.

The Drama Club will hold an Informational Meeting this coming Monday, September 15, at 3 pm on the stage. This is for anyone who might want to be involved in drama in any way this year.
