"The advancement and diffusion of knowledge is the only guardian of true liberty."
James Madison                                                                                                                                          1809-1817
We enjoyed visiting with our community at last night's Back to School Night.  We look forward to continuing to build partnerships between students, families, and staff this coming year.
Next Wednesday, the 16th, is a half-day for Sizer students.  Dismissal is at noon, and no supervision is available after dismissal.
Also on the 16th, seniors will be walking to Fitchburg State University to visit the library and begin research for senior project.  If seniors have not turned in their field trip permission slips for local field trips, they will not be able to go. Students should be sure to wear comfortable footwear for the walk.
More news and events in the Flash. Please take a few minutes to review the Flash with your student.
Have a great weekend, and we will see you all on Monday.

"You will ever remember that all the end of study is to make you a good man and a useful citizen."

John Adams

It's Friday already!

We've had a wonderful week meeting new students, and welcoming back our returning Sizer students.

Attached you will find the first edition of the Friday Flash for this school year.  The Flash is intended for the entire Sizer community, and aims to keep the community informed of what's happening in school, and upcoming events and dates.

The Flash is reviewed in advisories each week, is emailed home to families, mailed home to families who request it, and posted on the website each week. It is a central form of communication, so please take a few minutes each week to check it out.

We hope to see you at this Thursday night's Back to School Night.

It's a long weekend, so have a great three days off, and we'll see you all on Tuesday.

We cannot stop the winter or the summer from coming. We cannot stop the spring or the fall or make them other than they are. They are gifts from the universe that we cannot refuse. But we can choose what we will contribute to life when each arrives.
