“Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.”
― Margaret Mead

We hope many of our families will join us for tomorrow night's House of the Rising Stars, the PTSOs annual cabaret night fundraiser for senior scholarships.  We will get to see a preview of Sizer's first musical production in many years, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, as well as individual and group performances from Sizer students and adults. Further details on the front page of the Flash.
If you are the parent of a sophomore-please check with your students about permission slips for next week's April Explorations. Our 10th graders will be traveling in all directions in Massachusetts next week, actively researching ways to address the essential questions in their interest groups.  We'll report back in the Flash after April break.
Lots more in the Flash, and we hope to see you tomorrow night!

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. - Albert Einstein

Attached please find your weekly Friday Flash.
We hope to see many of you at Friday afternoon's Firearms Awareness Seminar, presented by Rick LeClair and Sizer senior Howard Chaput.  Howard has worked on this as part of his senior project.  We'll be seeing more about senior projects in the next few weeks.
We're looking forward to next week's parent prom!  The PTSO is hosting it, assisted by members of the junior and senior classes, to benefit the prom.  This is their major fundraiser for the prom, and are looking for lots of participation!  We're calling it "parent prom", and it does have an 80s theme, but you don't have to dress in your finest to attend; it's planned as a fun night out for the adults in our community.  DJ Dawson is picking the tunes, providing us with some trivia, and who knows what else...Order your tickets this week!
Please remember that this coming Wednesday, March 9, is a half-day for students.  There is no after school supervision.  Please make sure your student has transportation to leave school at dismissal at noon.
Have a great weekend, and we'll see you back here next week.
