Sizer students attend Mental Health Summit

Sizer students attend mental health summit!

On Tuesday, March 10, Health Teacher Sneha Verelst, Bridges Paraprofessional Jodi Boucher and School Guidance Counselor Jenna Lavery-Quigley took 22 students from grades 7-11 to the SHINE Initiative's annual Youth Mental Health Summit at Anna Maria College.

Sizer students joined students from 45 other Massachusetts schools for a day at Anna Maria College to learn about recognizing the signs of anxiety and depression, mindfulness, eating disorders, stress management, and taking care of oneself while planning for the future.

All students represented Sizer well and we have great ideas about how to continue to promote mental wellness in our community.
